We would like to thank all the visitors who have stayed at our cottage in the past.
However, after 25 years we have decided to retire and sell the cottage.
The new owners intend to make some improvements and modernisations and to continue to operate it as self catering holiday accommodation we wish them all the best for the future.

The cottage is located in an elevated position with panoramic views over the village and lake to the Grizedale Forest on the far side.
With full gas central heating and a living flame gas fire in the lounge it provides all the comforts you could want.
The kitchen is full equipped with cooker. microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer and a good range of utensils, crockery, glasses etc.
Upstairs are two double bedrooms and a bathroom with WC, bath and overhead electric shower whilst downstairs the utility room has a second WC and a washing machine and tumble dryer.
The patio at the front of the property has a picnic table and chairs and provides excellent views of the Lake District scenery.

How to find us.
In the centre of the village there is a petrol station and almost opposite is Station Road, proceed up here for about 100 m and the road bends slightly left and then appears to become very steep. At this point turn left and immediately right up a steep lane marked THE BANKS. As the lane levels out in about 100 m you will come to a row of cottages, Thurston View is in the center of this row, the parking space is at the end of the row and is marked PRIVATE THURSTON VIEW.
